Welcome and thank you for coming to my site. The images you see here are from my travels around the United States. I've been making images since 1984 when I began traveling with my 4x5 view camera. I'm always looking for an excuse to travel and express my passion for image making.
I have trouble with the term "artist" when describing myself. I tell people I'm a landscape photographer and describe what I do as spending an enormous amount of time looking and then I may or may not see something I want to photograph. The images here represent an enormous amout of time wandering around looking and seeing.
I feel its important to point out that professional landscape photographers know where to be and when to be there. That doesn't guarantee stunning images it just increases the odds of making a pleasing image.
